from Scenes From A Small Town In Maine, released September 22, 2015
The line of black cars wind
Down Harmony Hill they drive
Until they reach Jointner Ave
Behind the moon she climbs
Now peeking through the pines
Casting light to the gable of the roof

And the Undertaker cries
Dark don’t catch me here tonight

Dirt seeps through the hinges
Feel the gold coins on his eyes
Spading earth and loosing track of time
A heavenly choir of angels sing inside his mind
So beautifully, beautifully sublime

Then he jumps down deep inside
Sweeping dirt from side to side
Dusk falls prey night

He says, What am I doing down here?
Tell me what I’ve done
Still laying here in morning
Stinging from the sun
He says, why am I still down here?
Dirt cast in my nails
Satin red lays empty
Muscles scream to tell him what’s done is done…
